Un café que también planta bosques
Coffee that plants forests, too
At 69 CrazyBeans every purchase leaves a mark, and a good one. We support Project Eden's reforestation projects in Kenya, one of the regions with the lowest forest cover on the planet. This helps restore mangroves and protect ecosystems that regulate water, soil and biodiversity. You enjoy great specialty coffee and help the forest grow at the same time. As a keepsake, you receive your own planting certificate.

Everything about the MIX Pack
Pick 2 of our 4 specialty coffees, 1 kg in total
What is included, and how do I customise it?What is in the box
Two 500 g bags, 1 kg of specialty coffee in total. You pick 2 of our four specialties (Colombia, Guatemala, India or Italian Blend) using the two selectors on this page, before adding the pack to your basket. You can choose two different coffees or the same one twice if you already have a favourite.
What are the four coffees like?Comparing them
Colombia (Alpecito, Huila, 1,700 masl, 84 SCA): chocolate, hazelnut and sugarcane, sweet with a rounded body. Guatemala (Finca Vides, Huehuetenango, 1,600 masl, 85 SCA): almond, cocoa and red apple, smooth and never bitter. India (Karnataka, 990 masl, 81.75 SCA): blackberry, dark chocolate and walnut, full-bodied with a soft to medium acidity. Italian Blend (84.25 SCA): 80% Colombian arabica and 20% Indian robusta, with dark chocolate, spices, toasted malt and plenty of crema.
Which two should I pick?Suggested pairings
If you are just getting into specialty coffee, Colombia and Guatemala are the two gentlest and sweetest. If you drink your coffee with milk, India and Italian Blend hold up best, thanks to their dark chocolate notes and their body. If you want a real contrast between the two bags, put Guatemala next to Italian Blend: the cleanest against the most intense. And as a gift, one smooth and one intense is always a safe bet.
Will they work in my coffee machine?Brewing methods
All four are recommended for espresso, moka pot and bean-to-cup machines, so whichever pair you choose will work with what you already have at home. The Italian Blend gives the most crema in espresso. Guatemala and Colombia are the smoothest black, and the Guatemala in particular is a good place to start if you are just beginning to drink coffee without milk. The India is the one that stands up best to milk.
How long does 1 kg of coffee last?Quantity and storage
Roughly: at around 15 g per filter cup, 1 kg gives you about 65 cups; at around 7 g per espresso, quite a few more. For one person drinking a couple of coffees a day, that is around a month. Keep the bags closed, away from light and heat, and grind just before brewing if you can, because that is where most of the aroma is lost.
Does it come as whole beans or ground?Beans or ground
Whole beans keep their aroma far longer, which is why we recommend them and why we roast to order. If you do not have a grinder, check the grind options on this page before adding the pack to your basket. One thing makes it easy here: all four coffees share the same recommended methods, so a single grind works for both bags.
